Elephants power past Kavaliers to secure Shield final spot
The EP Elephants produced an inspired display to advance to the SA Rugby U21 Shield grand final when they outmuscled the Boland Kavaliers 34-31 in a hard-fought semifinal in Worcester on Saturday. Delighted EP coach Shaun "Trok" Oliver said his team had reaped the benefits of making a solid start after they gained early set-piece dominance over their never-say-die rivals at the Boland Stadium in a south section playoff.

Malema shows his support for residents at Zwide old age home
EFF leader Julius Malema popped in for a late lunch at Ekuphumleni Old Age Home in the Gqeberha township of Zwide on Saturday where the politician promised to take care of their financial woes. Malema said this would be in line with the party's bid to have the home's R3.5m services bill scrapped, which it declared in 2023 that it would do.

Tour guides frustrated at Gqeberha harbour snarl-up
Accredited Nelson Mandela Bay tour guides are struggling to capitalise on the increasing number of incoming passenger liners after allegedly being blocked from entering the Port of Port Elizabeth.
