Serial rapist sentenced to eight life terms
Thabile Bhino Nyakiso, a serial rapist described as â inhumane and cruelâ who targeted and raped eight women, including two teenage girls, has been sentenced to eight life terms. Nyakiso, 32, was also sentenced in the Mthatha High Court on Friday to 15 years for each of three counts of robbery with aggravating circumstances and 12 months for common robbery.

Parolees get 25 years for Dutywa bank robbery
Two parolees convicted over a brazen Dutywa bank robbery and the death of an accomplice during a subsequent shootout with police have been sentenced to an effective 25 years in prison. Dumisani Duma and Makabongwe Mthongana were each sentenced in the Mthatha High Court on Friday to 15 years for the murder of their accomplice, Lungile Jamiso, who was shot dead near the Beyele turn-off in Ngcobo.
