Former Makhanda art educator makes vibrant mark on Cape Town's coastal community
BARBARA HOLLANDS A former Makhanda art teacher has made her mark on Cape Townâ s art scene, becoming a sought-after educator while helping to establish an annual open studio event and creating mosaic installations along a much-loved wetland walk. Sasha Scholtz, 61, spent 15 years teaching at top Eastern Cape schools St Andrewâ s Prep and DSG Junior School before moving to a coastal Clovelly home where she and husband Martin converted two garages into an airy studio space.
