Water World Fun Park, Leighandre Jegels Recreational Park and Mdantsane swimming pool. A mere mention of any of the three quickly recalls Buffalo City metro projects whose funding escalated by millions of rand or remain unfinished for several years, with money spent on them going down the drain. The latest, as reported by this publication on Monday, is that 18 months and R54m is all that Buffalo City Metro Development Agency says it needs to finally open the doors to the Water World Fun Park.

BREAKING | Women killed by shark at Orient Beach
An experienced open-water swimmer was fatally attacked by a shark while swimming with her regular morning group off KuGompo Cityâ s Orient Beachfront on Tuesday. The womanâ s identity is known to the Daily Dispatch but is being withheld until her family has been informed. Witnesses told the Dispatch that members of the group became aware the woman was in distress and realised she had been attacked by a shark.
